Hanako Ozawa, Clarinet
Hanako was born 1979 in Tokyo, Japan and grew up in Kyoto. She began studying piano
at age 3, and clarinet at age 14. Graduated in 2003 with a degree in clarinet performance
from Doshisha Women's University. Received Ishimura Masako Award and performed at the 2003
Kansai Shinjin Concert. Winter of 2005-2006, lived in Boston and became interested in Jazz.
Accepted to perform in Young Musician's Concert at Karuizawa International Music Festival 2006. Studied
clarinet under the direction of Yoshiki Terazawa, Masatomi Kaigawa, Nobuyuki Kanai. Currently active in the
Tokyo area performing chamber, orchestral and jazz music.
