Course Work

Here are various images and other pieces of work that I have done for class.

MSE 562

Lab 2 Images: (note, all images scanned from negatives at 300dpi)

EM0008: Selected Area Diffraction Pattern of SrTiO3 and BaTiO3

EM0010: Selected Area Diffraction Pattern of SrTiO3 and BaTiO3 displaying two beam condition for bright field and dark field imaging of lattice defects

EM0012: Selected Area Diffraction Pattern of SrTiO3 and BaTiO3

MSE 480

Materials Dissection Web Page: This project is to "dissect" a common object and determine why it was made from the materials it was, and then to propose a possible alternative. The object I chose was a rim brake pad for a bicycle. Please keep in mind, that this is a work in progress, so it is very much incomplete for now.

MSE 465

Low Voltage Electron Microscopy: A Term Project to create a website detailing a material characterization technique. I chose low voltage electron microscopy due to my experiance with it in the research lab.

MSE 360

Fracture Surface: Scanning Electron Micrograph of BaTiO3 sintered compact fracture surface
