Cycling

I've been cycling seriously for roughly 5 years now, diong both road and mountain biking. During my freshman and sophomore years in college i rode and raced with the University of Michigan Cycling Club. For a brief stint, I rode for my favorite shop,Wheels in Motion, on the Sport Team, I also eventually took a summer job as a shop mechanic there (thanks Dewight!). So, if you are ever in Ann Arbor or Brighton Michigan go check them out!

For maps, directions, and other information about some of my favorite trails, click here.

Here is some info about my bikes.

Trail Advocacy/Cycling Organizations

Michigan Mountain Biking Association

Trail advocacy, building and maintenence in michigan is all through the MMBA. They also host a variety of activities, such as dirtstock, mountain kids, and the CPS race series.

New England Mountain Biking Association Similar to the MMBA, only they take care of trails in New England, these guys are responsible for saving the bachelor street trails from certain destruction at the hands of logging companies.

Various Cycling Links

MTBR Mountain Bike Review, a great online community, read and or write reviews of bikes and components and trails. Lots of very knowledgable people frequent the forums, making them a great place to pick up information, and ask questions about most any aspect of mountain biking.
Eric Barne's Maps Trail map of the Holyoke range in Massachusetts. Very useful if you are in the area, and looking for some good riding. (dial up beware, image intensive!)
Bloomer Park Velodrome The internet home of the Mike Walden Velodrome in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Track riding has come to Michigan, and it is a most impressive facility!
Velonews All the news that's fit to print in the cycling world.
