Halloween has come and gone. The kids collected much candy. Alex was Mario

Rachel was Snow White

Brianna was Minnie Mouse

We had maybe 14 kids show up at the door this year. I don't know why we get so few. We're on a main street. The street is called "Main Street". Could be the ED-209 we have patrolling around, now that I think about it.

I'm working with a couple fine gents on brewing some beer. Wanna see? It's nearly ready to bottle.

Alex had a birthday. He's now 3. We got him Castle Logix. He likes it a lot and has solved about half the puzzles. Some of the hard ones are rather challenging, honestly, so I have enjoyed the puzzle as well. I wonder if anyone has made a book of puzzles for two combined sets.

How have you been?

Congratulations to Josh and Nicole on the birth of their son Jack Dexter Martin. He was born shortly after midnight this morning. He weighs 8 pounds and is 20 inches long.

Dishwasher repaired

I have fixed my dishwasher. The heating element had split open, and water was leaking out of it. It's not like the gasket on the flange failed, but the element itself was damaged. We ordered a new one eventually. That was a chore, as Maytag was bought by Whirlpool and the part numbers didn't match up. Sarah was able to find a cross reference and we got the part. I put it in place this past Tuesday and it seems to be working fine.

Alex and Rachel have been going through the Hooked on Phonics course. They are probably at about the same level right now. We did this with Brianna and I think it helps a lot. The bonus to it all is that we get it from the public library, so it ain't costing us squat.

Have I missed anything important?
